Vision Fitness training requires you to have "INSIGHT"
INspiration - What happened in your life that sparked the desire to change? An upcoming event? A concerning health diagnosis? Whatever it was, you must keep it at the forefront of your mind during this venture. Put a picture of something related to it on your smartphone, your desk at work, your fridge. Make it a constant presence in your day-to-day so you can remain focused on it.
Sacrifice - Understand that it's not meant to be easy. There will be days where you won't feel like working out. There will be days where you will want that chocolate ice cream. The willpower doesn't suddenly manifest and remain once you start. There will be things you'll need to give up. There will even be people that you'll have to set aside during the process, or maybe even for good, if they play a role in diverting you from your goals. The saying goes "Discipline is sacrificing what you want now, for what you want most". My job is to help you navigate the journey in a way that ends with success, and to help you make it through the storms along the way.
Intensity - Don't wait until you reach the finish line to celebrate you! Get excited now, after every workout, after every meal, whenever you turn down a guilty pleasure. Approach every day with enthusiasm knowing how much closer you are to your goals. Think back to something you accomplished that you are most proud of that started out as a long arduous process. Maybe it was finishing school. Or reaching a certain position in your job. Think about how hard you worked, the energy you put into getting where you are. Draw on that passion to push you to give 110% on all your workouts.
Goals - Be specific in your goals. Don't just say "I want to lose weight". It's too vague and leaves a lot of room for failure or slacking off. Say "I want to lose 15lbs before February 2017". We will focus on creating MCGs (micro-goals) that will be easy for you to achieve, and build on them to create larger goals that will fast-track you to the bigger prize of a fitter, healthier you! Be prepared to discuss this in detail.
Honesty - Why is this your "why"? You have your motivation, but what's really behind that being your motivation? Do you want to look good because there's someone you want to impress? Are they really worthy this energy from you? Are you looking to build outer strength because you don't feel as "strong" on the inside? It's important to tackle some of these things head on so they don't become liabilities or inhibitors during this fitness journey.
Training - Quite simple, make the time and put in the work. You put in half the time, you'll get half the results. At a minimum, you'll be seeing me 2-3 times a week, so I will definitely want whatever your best is for that day. The other 160+ hours of the week are on you to maintain a routine that will get your results. That may mean you doing extra homework or taking an extra class. It'll mean being on point with your diet, getting your rest.
I offer private training for singles and couples, as well as small group sessions. Packages are available, in sets of 10 and 16.. It generally takes 6-8 weeks of consistent activity and lifestyle improvement to see a change in your body, so plan accordingly and factor that in your purchase. We will begin with a sit-down to discuss your current regimen, health history, and lifestyle and decide your needs and plan of action.
I can train you in-house, your building's gym, or in a training studio, depending on your needs and schedule. You will be responsible for additional cardio and/or any homework assignments given. Incentives and bonus sessions are given as well.
